Lambda Theta Alpha is dedicated towards the promotion of charitable activities that strengthen and uplift the community. LTA has maintained its dedication to the community since its founding.
At the national level, LTA established itself as a philanthropic partner of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in 2010. As an official collegiate partner, chapters across the country have been able to unite their efforts towards raising awareness of childhood cancer and raising funds to support St. Jude’s. Past events include sporting tournaments and fundraising galas.
While St. Jude’s is recognized as our national philanthropy, Gamma Alpha continues to maintain ties with more personal community causes. Since the chapter’s founding, Gamma Alpha has worked to benefit numerous philanthropic efforts in the Charlottesville community, including the AIDS Service Group of Charlottesville and FUTURO (a youth mentoring program). Currently, Gamma Alpha’s philanthropy is focused on improving access to higher education.
Gamma Alpha is always willing to lend a helping hand, and regularly participates in community service activities.
